Student Activities

Welcome!

My name is Abigail Drexler, and I’m a senior at Bettendorf High School and State President of IASC for the 2011-2012 school year! Learning from others and giving back to continues to be a priority in my life: in my leadership roles at my school and for my own student council. The past few years on the IASC board have helped introduce me to our organization and learn from our past Student Presidents. I look forward to now being able to put knowledge and experience to work for our state. I believe Student Council is a positive and rewarding commitment for any student because valuable lessons about leadership, communication, and volunteering will one day affect the future for all of us.

This year’s state project, “Voices for Victims,” has the potential to give a voice to people suffering from misfortunes such as natural disasters, disabilities, abuse, among many others. I challenge you to find a project that fits your school or your community, then raise money or awareness for the cause; the options are endless!
