As the school year winds down and councils prepare for upcoming student council elections, IAStuCo is looking ahead to summer leadership opportunities! Here is what you need to know from our April newsletter:
- Spring Advisor’s Conference (Monday, April 7): Last call to register for “Leadership: What all the Buzz is about!” in Clive ($50/advisor including lunch)! Featuring keynote speaker Sandy Ginger from Nevada, this event offers great networking and idea sharing. Room blocks are available at the Wildwood Lodge.
- Iowa Leadership Training Camp (ILTC) 2025:
- Dates: June 9–12, 2025 at Grand View University in Des Moines.
- Theme: “Roll the Dice – It’s Your Turn to Lead”.
- Details: Registration is $400/camper, and student grant applications are available to help offset costs!
- Honor Council Portfolios: Reflect on your council’s achievements from the 2024–2025 school year. Electronic or scrapbook portfolios are due to the SAI Office by June 15, 2025.
- VISION 2025 National Conference: Join the Iowa delegation in Oklahoma City from June 27–29, 2025 (“The Greatest Leaders on Earth All Under One Tent”). State officer-designed shirts will be unveiled soon!
