February is here, and IAStuCo is gearing up for a busy conference season! Here is everything you need to know from this month’s updates:
- District Conferences Are Here: Registration is open for upcoming regional leadership conferences! Attendance is open across districts if your primary date doesn’t work:
- Northeast District: Feb 17 (Mason City)
- Central District: Feb 17 (North Polk)
- Southeast District: Feb 26 (Fort Madison)
- Southwest District: March 14 (Coon Rapids-Bayard)
- Northwest District: March 28 (MVAOCOU)
- Key Deadlines & Recognition:
- National Council of Excellence Award: Applications due February 14, 2025.
- State Project (Planting Kindness, Sprouting Change): Submissions due March 1, 2025.
- Honor Council Portfolios: Applications due June 15, 2025.
- Spring Advisor’s Conference (April 7, 2025): Join us in Clive for “Leadership: What all the Buzz is about!”featuring guest speaker Sandy Ginger ($50 entry). Hotel blocks are available at the Wildwood Lodge.
- Summer Events Preview:
- Iowa Leadership Training Camp: June 9–12, 2025, at Grand View University (“Roll the Dice – It’s Your Turn to Lead”).
- VISION National Conference: June 27–29, 2025, in Oklahoma City. State shirts will be designed by officers at their April meeting!
