Happy summer! Congratulations to all advisors and student leaders on wrapping up another incredible school year! Here is what you need to know from our June newsletter:
- Summer Events in Full Swing:
- Iowa Leadership Training Camp (ILTC): Campers are heading out to experience four days filled with growth, learning, and fun.
- VISION Conference: Over 60 Iowa student council members and advisors are getting ready to head to Oklahoma City from June 27–29.
- Final Deadlines (June 15, 2025):
- Honor Council Portfolios: Electronic or scrapbook submissions covering activities from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, are due.
- Administrator of the Year: Don’t forget to submit nominations for outstanding high school and middle school administrators.
- Fall Save-the-Dates:
- Free New Advisor Workshop: August 11, 2025, at the SAI Office in Clive (for advisors in years 0–3).
- District Bootcamps: One-day officer trainings scheduled across all 5 districts between September 3–15($15/person, max $100/school).
- State Leadership Conference: October 26–27, 2025, at Iowa State University in Ames, featuring keynote speaker Heather Schultz!
- 2025–2026 State Project: Get ready for this year’s student-led theme, “Click Carefully, Connect Confidently.”
